FREE INTERNET

Liffey College has WI-FI, which allows students to access the internet for free using their own e-devices.

This initiative has been taken in an attempt to promote computer literacy and help students in carrying out research and project work as well as downloading study material.

The access code is available on College notice board.

Students’ Common Room

Liffey College offers students room for their exclusive use. This place is provided for students to have meals, relax during class breaks and enjoy some leisure time. It includes games, Wii, WI-FI, vending machines, a fridge, microwave, and water dispenser, as well as eating area and couches.

This initiative has been taken in an attempt to promote computer literacy and help students in carrying out research and project work as well as downloading study material.

This area is intended to be kept clean and tidy at all times. Students should clean up after themselves and use the bins provided (trash, recycling).

Library/Computer Lab

Liffey College offers students not only a quiet, well-equipped Resource Room, but ongoing assistance and support and guidance, as well.

The Resource Room, is designated a “Study Zone”. It holds reference materials, recommended coursebooks, practice tests, exam prep material and books, and additional resources, including magazines, books and newspapers. It is open during normal college hours and students are encouraged to borrow material (photo ID required).

Computer Lab

The computer lab is fitted with modern computers, with the latest software applications installed. This facility is primarily intended for class preparation, projects, electronic communications, instruction and research.

All computers, softwares and Internet access are subject to fair and decent use.

Photocopying/Printing

Students can  use the College’s printer to get copies of study materials, plane tickets, CVs, etc. at student discounted rates in a choice of different colours and sizes.

Documents can be emailed or saved on a USB key for print-outs.

Emergency number

Liffey College operates a 24-hour emergency number. In case of an emergency, please call +353 (0) 86 123 2008.
This number is intended for emergencies only.

f it is an urgent medical matter please call 999 or 112 immediately. Please notify the college as soon as possible of any such medical emergencies. Please call +353 (0)1 444 4447 / 454 7181.

If it is an urgent matter that requires the immediate staff and students for all eventualities. At such times, the

students and teachers must follow evacuation procedures, which include a mandatory roll call at the designated meeting point for both students and staff members. attention of the Police/Gardai or the Fire Department please call 999 or 112 immediately.

In thecase of theft of personal belongings, such as mobile phones, wallets or handbags, etc., students are advised to notify the Police/Gardai Station.

Liffey College takes no responsibility for lost or stolen items; students are advised to be mindful of their personal belongings at all times

Please note: In the unlikely event of a fire or an emergency evacuation while attending college, Liffey College has fully qualified fire wardens and staff in place. The college performs regular morning and afternoon fire drills to prepare for emergencies.
