ONLINE PORTAL FEATURES
The following is a guide to the main features of the portal to assist you during your studies:
Your Home Page will display the information about your course and study start and end dates, your level and classroom, and the date of your final exam.
1. Letters
Here, you can download your letters such as enrolment & attendance letters. You will also receive these letters via the College email system.
Please note: Medical insurance policies are sent from Academy Plus, not through the College system.
2. Attendance
View your attendance percentage and an attendance graph here, as well as the information about your absences.
Please note: Any requests to review attendance must be submitted within 21 days of the date(s) in question to be considered.
3. Online Forms
Access a variety of forms for:
• Complaints
• Suggestions
• Support Services Booking Form
• Various types of feedback forms and more
4. College Calendar
View all upcoming events, including dates and timings.
5. Holidays
• Submit holiday requests and view approved requests.
• Once your holiday request is approved, you’ll receive an email with the confirmed dates.
Please note: Submitting a holiday request does not mean your holidays are automatically approved. You will need to check the panel for approval updates. 6. Class Time Change Request
You can request a class time change here.
Important Notes:
• Learners are registered with Immigration for specific class times, so changes cannot be made at will.
• Submit a Time Change Request via your portal and pay an administration fee of €300 in advance.
• If the cost difference exceeds €300, you will need to pay the additional amount.
• Class time changes are subject to availability and are limited to two changes per 25 weeks.
• Timing changes will only apply starting the following Monday (not the current week).
7. Assessments (Internal)
View your assessment reports in this section, including:
• Weekly progress reports including a detailed, personalized feedback from your tutor
• Weekly test results
• 6-week progress reports, and more
8. Final Exams (External)
View your booked exam level and date here. On this page you can also find important information on how to take the exam and how to prepare for it.
Please note: Once your final exam is booked (at the time of enrolment), it is not possible to change the date or time.
9. E-Learning
Access your 12-week class plan, lessons, practice materials, and additional resources here.
Even if you miss a class, you can stay on track by reviewing the materials and practicing at home or during your free time. You can also preview the upcoming week’s plan to prepare in advance. Our learning platform displays all your learning materials in a simple, user-friendly manner, allowing you to learn at your own pace and supporting you in becoming an independent learner.
10. Resources
Find important links to the College website and key documents available for download, such as Learner Handbooks, Policies and Procedures, Instructions on how to use the portal and much more.

E-LEARNING

Our learning platform displays all your learning materials in a simple, user-friendly manner, allowing you to learn at your own pace and supporting you in becoming an independent learner.
To access this facility, learners need to log in to the online learner’s portal and select the “E-Learner” option.
FREE INTERNET
Liffey College offers free WI-FI, which allows learners to access the internet for free using their own devices.This initiative has been taken in an attempt to promote computer literacy and help learners in carrying out research and project work as well as accessing study material.
LEARNERS’ COMMON ROOM
Liffey College offers learners a spacious common room for their exclusive use. This space is provided for learners to have meals, relax during class breaks and enjoy some leisure time. It includes¬ WI-FI access, vending machine (in the basement), microwaves and water dispensers, as well as an eating area.
This area is intended to be kept clean and tidy at all times. Learners should clean up after themselves and use the bins provided (rubbish, recycling).
LIBRARY & COMPUTER LAB
Liffey College offers learners not only a quiet, well-equipped Library/Resource Room, but ongoing assistance and support and guidance as well.The Library/Resource Room is a designated “Study Zone”. It holds reference materials, recommended coursebooks, practice tests, exam prep material and books, and additional resources, including assorted magazines, books and newspapers. It is open during normal college hours and learners are encouraged to borrow material (photo ID required).
The computer lab is fitted with modern laptops, with the latest software applications installed. This facility is primarily intended for class preparation, projects, electronic communications, instruction and research. All computers, software and internet access are subject to fair and decent use.

PHOTOCOPYING/PRINTING
Learners can avail of the College’s printing services to get copies of study materials, plane tickets, CVs, etc. at learner discounted rates in a choice of different colours and sizes. Documents can be emailed or saved on a USB key for print-outs.

In the case of theft of personal belongings, such as mobile phones, wallets or handbags, etc., learners are advised to notify the Police/Gardai Station.

Please note:
- In the unlikely event of a fire or an emergency evacuation while attending college, Liffey College has fully qualified fire wardens and staff in place.
- The college performs regular morning and afternoon fire drills to prepare for emergencies.In the event of a fire/fire alarm or other emergency, learners and teachers must follow evacuation procedures, which include a mandatory roll call at the designated meeting point for both learners and staff members.
- Liffey College takes no responsibility for lost or stolen items; learners are advised to be mindful of their personal belongings at all times.
LEARNERS’ BICYCLES & E-SCOOTERS
This is to inform you that the College now has limited spaces available (E-Scooters) on the basement floor under the stairs, to park electric scooters. You are therefore requested to use this space responsibly.
Please note that:
- the College is not responsible for any loss or damage.
- charging E-scooter and/or batteries are not allowed.
- facilities are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- E-scooters are to be kept in the designated places only. The College reserves the right to fine students (€50) for inappropriate parking.
- extra care is required on the stairs. The College is not responsible for any case of fall and/or damage.
There is currently no designated space for bicycle users. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause to some. However, while city centre buildings are readily accessible, they also have limited spaces. Therefore, please make arrangements to conveniently park bicycles at the nearest place prior to entering the building.

The college is conveniently located for easy access to a variety of transportation route options.
- Luas – Green Line: The Green Line of the Luas tram service has a stop, Harcourt, which is situated almost directly in front of the college. This provides a seamless and efficient mode of transport for students and faculty.
- Bus Services: There is an abundance of bus routes servicing the area. The buses stop at Dublin City South, Camden Street – a mere 5-minute walk from the college’s new location. The bus routes that serve this stop include:
- Route 16
- Route 9
- Route 155
- Route 140
- Route 46A
- Route 155
These diverse transportation route options underscore the College’s commitment to accessibility and environmental sustainability, ensuring that students and staff have multiple convenient ways to reach the campus.

ONLINE & QR LETTER VERIFICATION SYSTEM
Now, Most of the College letters have QR Code to verify the authenticity of letters.
Liffey College the letter’s verification system is up and running. It can be accessed here: https://verify.liffeycollege.ie/
The verification code is written on the letter and can be entered at the link above in order to verify its authenticity. This is valid for the learners who has acceptance Letter and studying with the college.
