Purpose
This Policy establishes the principles for the fee payment for programmes within Liffey College. Also, in relation to any refunds for learners and the scenarios in which refunds will be considered.
Fee Policy
Payment Requirement
All course fees must be paid in full prior to commencing any programme at Liffey College.Acceptance Letter
An Acceptance Letter will only be issued once full payment has been received.
Payment Procedure
Payment Deadlines
International learners: Full fees must be paid at least 10 weeks before the course start date.
Non-Visa Required Nationalities: Proof of payment must be included in the Acceptance Letter prior to travel.
Visa Required Nationalities: Proof of payment must be submitted with the study visa application.
Admissions
All admissions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
No pre-booking system is available; a place is only secured upon full payment.
Partial payment does not guarantee a place.
Fee Handling
Funds for international learners will remain in the College client visa account until the visa application is determined.
If a visa application is refused, fees will be refunded according to the Liffey College Fee Refund Policy.
Registration Fee
Liffey College registration fee: €300 (subject to review).
If a learner outside Ireland requests a change in course dates after receiving the Acceptance Letter, a further €300 registration fee may apply.
Course Changes and Class Time Adjustments
Course dates cannot be changed once the College has informed immigration of a student’s enrolment.
Learners may submit a Time Change Request through their learner portal and must pay an administration fee of €300 in advance.
Any additional course fee difference exceeding €300 must also be paid by the learner.
Class time changes are subject to availability.
Class level changes are granted on a first-come, first-served basis and are also subject to availability.
Learners may request a maximum of two (2) class changes within a 25-week period.
Changes cannot take effect within the same week, they will apply starting from the following Monday.
Responsibility of Learners
Learners must ensure they comply with Irish State laws, college rules, and immigration regulations.
No refunds are due if a visa is refused due to legal violations or providing fraudulent information.

Non-Payment
Outstanding fees may result in the forfeiture of the learner’s place.
Delayed payments may incur a non-refundable late payment fee.
Jurisdiction
All fees, refunds and cancellations are subject to the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
CertTESOL Course
Course fees exclude Exam Fees and Trinity College London Certificate Fee.
Full payment, including a €300 registration fee (non-refundable) is required.

Fee Refund Policy
General
Course fees or instalments are non-refundable except under the specific conditions outlined below.
Full-Time Learners
Refunds may be considered in the following cases:

Visa Refusal: For international learners refused an entry or study visa in Ireland.

Course Cancellation: If Liffey College cancels a course with no alternative available.
Part-Time Learners
Refunds may be considered if:

The course is cancelled by Liffey College with no alternative available.
Important Notes

College registration fee (€300) and other non-refundable fees will be deducted from any refund, including but not limited to:

Medical Expenses Insurance Policy: €100
-
Course Fee Protection Insurance (PEL): €100
-
Final/End of Course Examination (TIE): €100

Access to E-Learning/Materials: €30
-

Visa renewal denials are eligible for pro-rata refunds based only on the course fee.

No refunds are given for voluntary withdrawals before or after the course start date.
Course Cancellation by Liffey College

Learners may be transferred to a similar course at an equivalent level.

Arrangements may be made with other institutions for equivalent courses.

Submission of Refund Application
Refund applications must be submitted through the [Refund Application Form]. -
Supporting Documentation
Applicants must provide:-
Proof of payment

Visa refusal letter (if applicable)

Any other relevant documentation

Verification
-
Refunds will only be processed upon receipt and verification of required documentation.

Falsified or fraudulent documents will result in no refund.

Refund Transfer

Fees will be refunded to the learner’s account.

If the payer is not the learner, an authorisation letter from the learner is required.

Liffey College must inform the Department of Justice of any refunds issued.

Processing Time

Refunds take four weeks (20 working days) from the date all documents are received and verified.

Application Deadline
-
Applications must be submitted within six (6) months of the payment date.

Applications submitted after this period will not be considered.
