Cert TESOL with Trinity London

Cert TESOL with Trinity London

COURSE OVERVIEW

Looking for a complete change of career direction or perhaps thinking of a career in the English language teaching profession, where you could teach English language in Ireland or abroad?

At Liffey College we can set you on that path with our Trinity CertTESOL programme, which takes only four (4) weeks (9am to 5pm – subject to change).

The Trinity CertTESOL is an internationally recognised ELT (English Langue Teaching) qualification. Upon successful completion of this course, participants are qualified to teach English world-wide – either in the face-to-face classroom, online or in a blended learning format. The CertTESOL is assessed at level 5 on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ); this is comparable to year 2 of an undergraduate study programme; the CertTESOL qualification is equivalent to the CELT/CELTA.

Preparing for the Trinity CertTESOL English language teaching certificate equips you with the basic skills and knowledge required to take up your first post as an English language teacher. It gives you an introduction to the theory and practice of English teaching and an insight into the challenges facing the learner and your role as an English language teacher. It also incorporates teaching practice sessions (TPs) in a real classroom setting; these TPs are excellent preparation for your role as an ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) teacher.
