3-step guide: How to improve your English by reading simple books!

Reading is one of the best ways to improve your English!

In this guide, we will explain how you can use simple books to learn about English vocabulary, grammar, and culture. Are you ready? Let’s go!

1 Reading should be fun

Make sure the books you choose are not too difficult for you.

If the book you are reading is a task, then find something easier.
Try reading young adult (YA) books, for example.

2 Make time to read

Reading for fun can be done anywhere. A library is always a wonderful place to read. But you also can take a fun book out on a bus, in bed or at the coffee.

Turn off the sound of your electronics and have more concentration.
There is so much good and new vocabulary in a book that we have no idea!

3 Find your reading personality

Find an author you like and read all their books. By doing this, you will get used to the style of a particular author and the typical vocabulary and grammar they use.

Agatha Christie, for example, wrote in an easier style and with simpler vocabulary than Stephen King.

As you read more of his/her books, you will find it easier and easier.

Reading will help you become fluent in English, so read all the English text you can find!
